VILLAGE SKIP

Geoff Adderley, secretary of the Hurst Village Halls Management Committee, writes that the very useful provision of a Skip is available on the first Wednesday of every month in the Village Halls car park.

However, some people are depositing rubbish in the car park before that date – sometimes as many as three or four days in advance - which makes the car park look like a rubbish dump. The sacks and rubbish then has to be loaded into the skip by other residents. Very occasionally the Skip has not been delivered, and the rubbish as just piled up, which has made the car park into a health hazard.

Please use the skip when it is there, and do not leave your rubbish for others to deal with. Thank you.
