Fifteen-year-old Ruth Noble has lived in Hurst all her life, but next year she will be off to Africa on a World Challenge Expedition to help a village community - if she can raise enough money to help her get there.
Ruth's trip will cost around £3,000, and that doesn't cover the costs of jabs, travel in the UK for the training programme, and equipment she will need.
"I am desperately seeking help from anybody who would like to make a contribution towards this trip," says Ruth. "If any company would like to sponsor me, I would be more than grateful to wear t-shirts with their name or logo on them, and mention them in all the publicity. All financial contributions will be very welcome, especially if you have a small change collection you've been waiting to use!"

While in Africa, Ruth and her colleagues will be helping local people. Some of the tasks they expect to do will be building and re-decorating schools, teaching children, working in town halls and community centres, and building paths and roads to connect villages and communities.
If you think you could help Ruth, please contact her at Folly Cottage, Dunt Avenue, Hurst RG10 0SY, telephone 934 xxxx or e-mail: roofus_4@hotmail.com
