Did SID Catch You Out?

Wokingham district road safety officers caught 63 motorists driving faster than the 40 mph speed limit at the junction of Lodge Road and Twyford Road, Whistley Green on June 19 and 20.

SID - a speed indication device - is being used by the council to alert speeding motorists to the fact that they are over the limit. It senses the speed of an oncoming vehicle and flashes it up on a roadside screen. SID and the spot checks are part of Wokingham District Council's campaign to crack down on speeding to reduce accidents.
