Charity Performances for the Parish Handbells

The Parish Handbells of St. Nicholas and St Mary's Winnersh will be raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Research during the Christmas festivities at the Wyevale Garden Centre, Twyford on Saturday 14 December from 11.30am - 1.00pm and at Tesco in Reading on Friday 20 December from 2.30 - 4.30pm.

The handbell ringers will be opening their practice session at St. Mary's Church Hall on Wednesday 18 December to anyone who would like to listen to their rehearsals, and enjoy some seasonal refreshments. They will also be playing at special church services during December.

The handbells will be sent to the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in the New Year for refurbishment, and fund-raising for this work continues. A jumble sale, and donations in October raised more than £193, and the group had a stall at the St. Nicholas Christmas Fayre selling CDs, paperbacks and jewellery.
