Parish Council News

The Environment Group including councillors Val Bowman, Terry Bunyard, Mac Stevenson and representatives from Hurst Village Society Trevor Gaylard and Janet Spiller will be leading initiatives to improve the village environment.

Year 6 children from St. Nicholas School started the project in style by planting spring bulbs, and the school's environment club is likely to be closely involved as the project develops.

The Environment Group is assessing which public sites to work on first, and will be seeking suggestions for improvements, and consulting landowners and the district council.

The Thames Valley and Chilterns Air Ambulance service will receive £500 from Hurst Parish Council next year.

Graffiti. Are you concerned about graffiti in the village? Please report any incidences of graffiti to the District Council Graffiti Hotline - 0118 974 xxxx, so that it can be removed.

Youth Committee. The Parish Council is hoping to set up a youth committee. If you're interested in this or would like to represent your age group please contact Jan Martin on 0118 934 xxxx.
