Crime Report from Wpc Sandy Craske

From a Police point of view, Hurst is currently going through a quiet spell (long may it last!). It may be worth a warning to all householders that, as the weather gets warmer, they should be mindful of open windows and back doors which could invite an opportunistic thief. As yet we haven’t had any such break-ins reported in this area, but they do happen.

There is a group of people answering advertisements of cars for sale. They appear very respectable and speak well, but are taking cars on test drives and not returning them. There have been numerous reports over the last 3–4 weeks of such occurrences elsewhere, so let’s hope they don’t get away with it in Hurst.

New Incident Number:
Just a reminder that the new non-emergency number for police matters is 0845 850 5505.
