Summer in the Village

This summer Hurst will be buzzing with activities and events for all the family. Some have been organised by H2k as Millennium events, and others are old favourites. Jazz in the Park on 1 July will provide the customary "whizz-bang" of fantastic music and fireworks with an opportunity for picnicking on a lovely summer’s evening.

Then it's the childrens' turn to take centre-stage with an H2k organised Childrens' Party on the Green at Martineau Lane on 22 July. Get your seat on the boundary to find out who will come off best in the Lads v Dads Cricket match on 28 July.

The 87th Horticultural Show will take place on 19 August, with a total of 137 classes ranging across flowers and vegetables to crafts for children, and home industries including the famous Men’s Apple Flan class. Full details inside.

At Dinton Pastures there’s a huge schedule of activities for everyone including: a Monster Sculpture event from 31 July to 2 August, and chance to learn more about the very rare Tower Mustard plant on 5 August.

Some regular activities will be continuing through the summer, these include: the Baby and Toddler Group for 0 - 3 year olds, which meets every Wednesday between 10 am and 12 noon in the Village Hall.
